The new Saturday Stand Bag from Cleveland golf is a great hybrid carry bag. With 6 different zipped pockets for storage and a 14 way divider top, it’s a great option for any golfer who wants plenty of space with the flexibility of carrying or trolleying.

It weighs 2.6kg, so it isn’t overly heavy and a firm plastic handle on the front makes getting it in and out of a car or on a trolley easy.

The straps had plenty of padding, which was great to carry.

First Impressions

I’ve heard of Sunday golf bags before but never a Saturday bag. This carry bag from Cleveland very much gives a hybrid feel with its 14 way top divider. It also feels a little bigger in size than a standard carry bag, weighing in at 2.6kg.

I liked the blue/navy colourway of this bag. The white logo and detailing looks great but if you’re not a fan Cleveland does offer this bag in three other colourways.

NCG Verdict

Taking this bag out on the course for the first time was interesting as I’ve never used a 14 way top on a carry bag. Packing this bag there was plenty of room for storage with six zipped pockets. There was also a handy side pocket to slip my water bottle into.

Out on the course, carrying this bag was nice and easy. I liked that there was plenty of padding in the straps and that it was easy to adjust them if needed.

I tend to use a carry bag all year round but I do also like the option of using a trolley in summer. With my previous bags I’ve found myself trying different ways to keep the legs together so they didn’t interfere when on the trolley. Cleveland has this issue covered, adding in a strap to keep the legs secure.

There is also an umbrella holder on the outside of this bag which is very handy – as well as a velcro glove patch. I did particularly like the firm plastic handle on the front of this bag. It made getting the bag in and out of my car really easy. There is also an area on the front that is designed to hold tees and pencils.

In terms of storage this bag has plenty to offer. There are 6 zipped pockets. Whilst this isn’t a waterproof golf bag the valuables pocket on the side does have a water resistant zip incase you do get caught in a shower.

Overall, I did really enjoy using this golf bag. I think it’s a great option for any player looking for a hybrid golf bag this summer – especially as it is priced at an excellent price point.
