Ping Iona polo review: First impressions

The Iona polo is offered in different patterns rather than a straight colour change. I tried the Iona in black multi and as someone who isn’t overly keen on patterned golf polos, I very much enjoyed this design. There are 3 other patterns to choose from, so there is hopefully something to suit everyone’s eye.

The Iona polo has an athletic stretchy feel and is part of Ping’s SensorCool range. The material mixture is 91% polyester and 9% elastane, some of which were created using recycled content.

Ping Iona polo review: On Course Testing

This polo didn’t disappoint on the course. The lightweight stretchy feel meant that it was unnoticeably easy to swing in. The material sat well and didn’t cling to my skin like some polos can do. I wore this in a UK12 for reference and I thought that it was the perfect fit. My only slight niggle with this polo is that when the fabric stretched the pattern didn’t look as colourful and nice but this was only when you purposely stretched it.

The polo was very comfortable on the skin and I didn’t ever find myself feeling sweaty thanks to being quick-drying fabric.

Ping Iona polo review: The 19th Hole

Whilst I loved wearing this out on the course, it is a little bold for my liking off of the course.

One last thing to note is how quick the polo was drying and how it didn’t need to be ironed after being hung out on the line. This is thanks to the quick dry technology.
