OceanTee Slim Fit Beluga Waterproof Jacket review: First Impressions
The Beluga Waterproof Jacket has a simple yet practical design. It is incredibly lightweight and feels totally waterproof and windproof with a nice thick polyester shell.

I tested the blue version, which is more of a space blue that looks majestic on the golf course. This is one of two colours available, with the other being grey but with black and orange detailing. Each look superb and if I were to be given the choice I wouldn’t be able to choose between the two! It is constructed from a blend of GRS certified recycled polyester and uses exclusive OEKO-TEX certified dyes.
OceanTee Slim Fit Beluga Waterproof Jacket review: On The Course
I am 5ft 10, and take a UK size small in jackets. OceanTee suggest taking a size up from your usual fit, but I tried it in small and it fitted really nicely. I can see why they advise this as it’s a slim fit, but I’m a big fan of tight fitting apparel so I was in my element here. The thing I instantly liked about this was how stretchy and windproof the jacket was, making it ideal for not just rainy, but windy days out on the course. It doesn’t gives you tonnes of warmth though, so pairing it with a mid-layer is a smart move on colder days.
Although it’s got an athletic fit, you don’t feel trapped because the elasticity allows you to proceed without any issues.
During testing it did rain quite heavily at one point, and the jacket is impenetrable against the rain. It features inner lining that is taped and sealed to ensure it’s 100% water resistant, and it really is noticeable when a downpour arrives.
I found this jacket really easy to swing in with no restriction on my movement at all. This benefit comes as a result of the malleable elastane providing the necessary stretch and flexibility for any level of golfer.

The jacket is also surprisingly quiet and durable. Usually with waterproofs I’m used to hearing lots of creasing and stretching sounds as I’m walking and, more importantly, swinging the golf club. It can be off-putting at the best of times, so not hearing this noise let me focus more on my golf and less on my apparel.
OceanTee Slim Fit Beluga Waterproof Jacket review: The 19th hole
There’s a big opportunity to wear this piece of kit off the course. It’s a waterproof jacket, after all. The only issue here would be it doesn’t have a hood attached, so if you do wear it during a shower, make sure you bring an umbrella or wear a hat.

As mentioned earlier, it’s not the best in the thermal department, so I’d advise wearing a base layer or mid-layer underneath it on cold days. The two colours it’s available in are really stylish and will add to the overall athletic look the jacket will give you wherever you choose to wear it.
