The 2017 season is finally underway and has already claimed its first winners. Stay tuned to see some weird adventures from some of the world’s best.

Justin Thomas is hot and really starting to show off

If you weren’t living under a rock last week you would have seen that Justin Thomas, a member of the SB2K16 crew, stormed through the field to win the SBS Tournament of Champions.

But his hot form did not stop there and yesterday he went on to make history. The 23-year-old became only the seventh player to break 60 on the PGA Tour, by shooting a 59 in the first round of the Sony Open.

What a day.. Fun to be in the history books and a part of the #59 club! 3 more days ??

Nobody was happier for JT than his good friend Jordan Spieth, who really got into the spirit of things, cheerleading for Thomas all round. Just watch his reaction to the eagle putt here:

To put the round in perspective it was an 11-under (59) for Thomas. But the JT-Spieth-Berger best ball score was 17-under (53), a pretty impressive pro-am score! Justin Thomas is now -33 under for his last 5 rounds, life in 2017 is not too bad.

His comments after making eagle on the 18th sum the gutsy player up.

All my birdies were easy.”

“What am I going to do? Lay up?  – Justin Thomas

I’m going to put the Hawaiian sunshine down to this pretty incredible form, I mean a win in Kapalua and he now leads in Honolulu

The Bahamas boys hit the surf in Hawaii

It was bound to happen at some point but Jordan Spieth and Smylie Kaufman found an alternative to shooting a 59… Fishing on the side of the course!

Smylie didn’t hide that he was an amateur fisherman nor the fact that he didn’t like touching fish, hence the protective gloves and flippers. Watch him nearly take out Spieth with a rod!

In the end, their kayak capsized and it’s always good to have a really sympathetic friend called Rickie Fowler.

Maybe stick to golf during summer break 2017, fellas?
