The festive period is over, which means for a lot of people the clubs will come out the garage and the winter golf training will begin. Setting goals are an essential part of any improvement. Speaking from experience, without structure and purpose, a practice session can almost become futile.

More times than I care to remember I’ve found myself at the range hitting basket after basket for hours at a time without any specific focus.

That’s why I feel so strongly about adopting and following an instruction plan. If I could go back and do it all over, I know my game would be far better for it.

In this series, myself and elite coach Dan Whittaker have devised a programme which will enable you to effectively implement change and develop your ability to take range work to the course – we’ll leave the mechanical stuff to you.
