How to judge wind on the golf course: The main points
For me, it’s all in the planning. As I’ve mentioned, most of us have access to a number of weather apps which give accurate, to-the-hour information on the wind’s behaviour. Make a note of it before you play on a scorecard or on your phone – it’s so simple.
From there, it’s all about trusting that information regardless of where you are on the course. You might be sheltered or in an area where it’s swirling but if you’ve put the work in at the front end, you’ll find it so much easier to commit to decisions.
