Amy Boulden tips: The importance of alignment

The Ladies European Tour star gives you some advice on getting your angles right

Amy Boulden is a professional golfer who competes on the Ladies European Tour.

We invited Amy down to the Shack to give us a few of her tips that will help amateur golfers improve their game. First on the agenda was the importance of alignment.

I always have alignment sticks in my golf bag, these are great tools to have with you when you are practicing.

When I go to the range I put these straight on the floor, usually two of them. If I’m working on swing path I place the alignment sticks either side of the ball and quite close to it. This simply works on the path of my swing.

If it’s my footwork and shoulder alignment I’m working on then I’ll place an alignment stick down the line of my feet.
