Golf fitness exercises: Strengthen your back for more power
We’ve teamed up with golf fitness expert Rachael Tibbs to provide a series of golf fitness exercises which to loosen the upper back for more mobility in your golf swing as well as producing power for more distance. They can be completed either in the gym or at home so let’s get on with it…
An effective golf swing requires some serious back rotation which has to come from somewhere. The region of the back responsible for rotation is the thoracic spine which is the upper part of your back between the neck and the base of your rib cage. Rotation of the back not only helps in generating a powerful golf swing but also helps reduce the chances of injury.
