NCG SUMMARY

The SeeMore FGP Putter is a standout choice for golfers seeking precision and alignment. Its unique RifleScope Technology encourages a repeatable stroke, making short putts feel automatic and inspiring confidence in alignment. Although I though it was slightly unforgiving on off-center strikes, the customization options and overall performance make it a solid contender for golfers looking to sharpen their putting game.

PROS

  • Exceptional alignment technology
  • Great for short to mid-range putts
  • Promotes a consistent stroke

CONS

  • Less forgiving on toe and heel strikes than other options on the market

SeeMore FGP Putter Review: First Impressions

The simplicity of the red dot

From the moment I picked up the SeeMore FGP, it’s evident that this putter was different. Its minimalist design, coupled with a centre-shafted build, sets it apart from many I have tested before.

I think the black shaft, white alignment line, and compact head design are clean and purposeful. What strikes you immediately is the simplicity of the RifleScope alignment system, two white lines flanking a red dot that disappears when you are correctly positioned over the ball. This visual cue ensures your hands, eyes, and putter head are perfectly aligned every single time – see picture carousel below to give you a better idea.

NCG Verdict

Excelling with short putts

The FGP excels in short to mid-range putts, largely due to the RST system promoting a square face through impact. During my testing, it became apparent to me that when the red dot is hidden, putts roll true with minimal side spin. This reliability inspired confidence, particularly on breaking putts where good alignment tends to be crucial.

Longer putts

However when it came to long putts, I found there to be a slight drop in performance when struck off-centre. The feedback is more noticeable compared to some modern mallet designs, but for those who prioritise accuracy over forgiveness, the FGP remains a strong contender.

The benefits of the red dot

The RST system is what I believe truly defines the SeeMore FGP. By hiding the red dot with the shaft during your setup, you can consistently ensure the putter face is square. This simple concept encourages a repeatable stroke, one that reduces face manipulation and promotes a purer roll.

My short putts became almost automatic when the red dot was concealed. Long putts required a bit more feel and finesse, but the alignment aid still proved to be a valuable tool.

Sweetspot and mishits

I also found that when striking the sweet spot, the FGP offered a satisfying feel which was soft yet responsive. However, mishits on the toe or heel were noticeably less forgiving. While purists may argue you should not be missing the sweet spot, the reality of golf is far from perfect, and toe and heel strikes do happen. It is therefore a bit less accommodating to most club golfers in this department.

Final Verdict

Unique training aid that helps

Overall, I think the SeeMore FGP Putter is a brilliant option for golfers looking to improve their alignment and stroke consistency. The RifleScope Technology makes it a unique training aid as much as it is a performing club on the greens. While it may be slightly unforgiving on off-centre hits, its performance from short range is outstanding.

About the author

Callaway Epic Max driver review
Jack Backhouse

A member of the PGA for 13 years, Jack has lived golf for more than half his life. Inspired by Tiger Wood’s winning putt at the 2008 US Open, an obsession began with watching slow motion golf swings on the internet and reading What’s In The Bag articles in magazines.

Not destined for a life behind the desk in a pro shop, Jack has focussed more on coaching, working closely with regional teams in North Yorkshire and helping golfers of all levels on their journey to enjoying playing the game more. Jack has coached many junior golfers into the county teams, and once worked with a player at the 2018 Open Championship at Carnoustie.

After letting his game fall apart prior to COVID, Jack rediscovered his love for playing golf after joining Silloth Golf Club in 2020 and whipping round the windy, firm links course. Playing regularly with a half set of clubs he has a passion for shot making and developing skill, and claims to have the sharpest 30-100 yard game in the North of England (only because he doesn’t know anyone in the South), and now maintains a +1 handicap at a club much closer to home, Sand Moor GC.

Jack has always tinkered with his equipment, once building his own Frankenstein one length set of clubs after watching Bryson DeChambeau burst onto the scene after winning the US Amateur. He firmly believes in getting custom fit and is happy to debate anyone about blade irons being superior to any other iron category.

Jack loves: playing quickly, 2 ball golf, match play, heathland courses, pencil bags, foursomes, Tiger Wood’s swing 2005-2009.

Jack hates: buggies, unnecessary trees, giving shots, the 7 iron loft debate, graphite shaft lovers weird superiority complex.
