Cobra is back for 2026 with an updated version of their 3DP Tour putters. I tested a mallet and blade from the range the Agrea and the Grandsport 35. Whilst the shaping hasn’t changed the technology has been refined, but what’s new? Check out our full review below to find out all the details and how it performs…

NCG SUMMARY

Cobra is back with their updated 3DP Tour putters. The winged mallet Agera, offers a bold alignment aid that sits great behind the ball. Whereas the Grandsport 35 is a large wide blade, that combines traditional looks with a more confidence inspiring look.

There has been a lot of well thought out tech upgrades with this launch. LA GOLF™’s patented Descending Loft Technology™ is one. It utilises four different lofts across the face to optimise launch at impact. This ultimately delivered a consistent launch angle and a repeatable true roll.

First Impressions

Straight out of the packaging, I loved the look of this putter. Perhaps I’m slightly biased but I do enjoy a winged mallet. The alignment aid on this one is bold and covers most of the ball, meaning it should make aiming pretty straight forward.

Blades aren’t usually my go to but a larger headed wide blade it something you don’t see too much of. I liked how this one gave confidence behind the ball.

I really like the solid leather head cover, feels really good quality. Inside, it’s fluffy and protective.  The magnetic fasting makes it quick and easy to slip on and off.

NCG Verdict

Unfortunately this is absolutely not the time of year in the UK to be judging a putter on how many times the ball goes in based on the conditions of the greens. However, a good putter will always feel just as good no matter the surface.

I took both Cobra 3DP Tour Putter’s out on a cold day in February to test. As I said the Agera really suited my eye. I found it really easy to line the ball up with. The blade on the other hand has a much more traditional alignment line that also does a great job.

Cobra has updated their face on this years 3DP Tour model. The face is 100% milled from MIM® 304 stainless steel. This is aimed to create a tour-inspired aesthetic with exceptional feel.

The lines on the face aren’t just there for show. This is Cobra’s LA GOLF™’s patented Descending Loft Technology™. It utilises four different lofts across the face to optimise launch at impact, each line showing where a new loft starts. This ultimately delivered a consistent launch angle and a repeatable true roll.

Off the putter the contact produces a crisp sound. The sound and feel is enhanced using the 3D Printed Cartridge System. It is designed to save weight whilst creating that tour like feel.

This is a face balanced putter that is ideal for players who have a neutral stroke. I found that delivered a pretty consistent roll when I was out on the course.

Cobra has lots of different ways to customise this putter so it’s definitely not just an off the shelf purchase. On the American Golf website you can choose to upgrade the shaft from the standard KBS CT Tour 120. You can also adjust the length and lie angle as well as the style of grip.

The adjustable weighting system on the 3DP Tour Putters allow players to switch between lighter or heavier weights to personalise their feel. Additional weights can be bought separately.

NCG Verdict

Overall, I really enjoyed using these putter. The alignment system made it very easy to work with and the head shape very much suited my eye. I look forward to using this more throughout the year – it might just find its way into my bag.
