NCG SUMMARY
Overall these are some of the most consistent game-improvement irons I have tested this year. Ping has done it again and produced an exceptional game improvement iron that will only aid performance.

First Impressions
This club almost looks unrecognisable. Although it has that typical high square-toe Ping shaping, the back of the club head is really different. I love how they have designed the Pwrflex in the back of the club head to give this product a completely new more modern feel.
NCG Review
Over the ball, this is still very typically Ping. It has a big overall shaping, with a decent amount of offset and a thick top line. It is definitely very confidence-inspiring over the golf ball for the higher handicap golfer.
The most important thing about game improvement clubs is that they are easy to hit. These definitely tick all the boxes in this area. They are high launching, easy to strike and consistently go in the right direction.
I really like the fact these are fairly neutral down the target line and balance forgiveness with a decently high spin rate and launch so you can still control the golf ball.
In terms of distance, I never think Ping’s irons are the longest on the market, but they do provide more middle-of-the-range distance. These flew very similar distances to the players’ distance irons I use and would fit into my bag, gapping perfectly. If you are someone that wants more distance, I would suggest trying the power spec which has stronger lofts for more distance.
There is an advantage to having different loft spec sets, as it means people with different club heads speeds can still get the forgiveness of these irons in a club that goes the appropriate distance for them.
You can see from the data below the gapping was very consistent throughout the bag which is pretty pleasing to see.
