Best Callaway Winter Apparel
Callaway Golf Pom Beanie
The Callway Tour Authentic Pom Beanie is part of Callaway’s rather series. It is a smart looking, fleece lined hat with a pom. I like the subtle speckling of the material and the cuff design. There is a quality look to the embroidered logos, Callaway on Ione side and Odyssey on the other. It is very warm and comfortable as might be expected with the fleece lining.
I’ve got to say, I was genuinely surprised by these Callaway Winter Thermal Trousers.
I’ve never really considered thermal golf trousers before, but I decided to give them a try, and I’m glad I did!
Worn on the course, they kept me warm without feeling bulky, even during those chilly mornings. The fabric is surprisingly comfortable and flexible thanks to the mechanical stretch—no restrictions during my swing.
What really stood out was how versatile they are outside of golf. I’ve worn them on the touchline watching my kids play sport in freezing weather, and they’ve been fantastic—wind resistant, water resistant, yet still breathable.
They look smart enough for casual wear too, with a subtle embroidered logo. Overall, an unexpected but excellent addition to my winter wardrobe, blending style, comfort, and practicality both on and off the course.
PROS
Comfortable stretchy feel
Keeps you warm but not overly bulky
Great for general sport spectating or other outdoor activities
When it comes to layering up as it gets colder then it pays to have a few options. The Callaway Full Zip Vest nicely fills the gap in your winter apparel set up. The front is filled with high-performing Primaloft insulation, made from recycled products. The back is a large stretchy panel to ensure you can wear multiple layers, stay warm and not be restricted during your golf swing. All-in-all a nice piece of kit to help you brave the elements.
I will usually put up with pretty horrendous conditions before I reach for waterproof trousers. The Callaway Stormlite III, however, seriously impressed me. The pair I tried were all black (well caviar according to Callaway) with a subtle white Callaway logo. Very smart looking. Their performance was fantastic however. Fully waterproof with a 2 year guarantee. They are also breathable, have taped seams and waterproof zips and pockets. The half-elastic waistband which is also adjustable means you can get a nice fit but still have plenty of freedom to move. A lot of thought has gone into their design. They are nice and light and will be a regular fixture in my winter bag.
The Callaway Long sleeve base layer incorporates SwingTech for comfort and unrestricted movement as well as Opti Dri technology to help wick away moisture from your body. It has a reasonably substantial thickness to it making it very warm. The aforementioned tech makes swinging a breeze and uninhibited. We all know layering up is the way to go to keep warm on the course in the winter and this top from Callaway is a great place to start.
I love these ¼ zip base layers. They are so versatile, either for layering up or using as a top in cooler summer evenings. The Callaway soft touch blocked base layer ticks all the boxes and then some. It looks great but what was particularly appealing was the softness of it. Exquisitely comfortable and warm. In addition it incorporates Callaway’s Opti Dri technology to help wick away moisture.
The Callaway Waterproof Jacket really hits the mark for me. I hate any feeling of restriction but the SwingTech technology in this jacket makes it it supremely comfortable. The stretch allows you to layer up without feeling too restricted. There are adjustable cuffs and the waist is also adjustable. I particularly like the reassuring, waterproof zipped pockets. They look great and come with a 2 year waterproof guarantee.
A little step up in protection from base layers is the Callaway ½ zip wind Jacket. Substantial enough to protect you from the elements but still light. The swing tech technology lets you swing easily. It comes in multiple colour options and is the kind of top that I will always have with me whatever the conditions. The cuffs have hook and loop fasteners for adjustment and the jacket has 2 zipped pockets.
After examining a variety of winter apparel options from Callaway, it’s clear that each piece is created with the golfer in mind. From quilted jackets that offer excellent thermal properties to layering options that provide maximum mobility, Callaway’s winter collection is a testament to their commitment to quality and performance. Advanced fabric technologies are at the core of their offerings, ensuring that you remain insulated yet breathable, dry but not overheated, allowing you to focus purely on your game.
In a sport where every swing counts, the last thing you want is for your apparel to be a distraction. With Callaway’s winter pieces in your wardrobe, you can rest assured that you are equipped to handle whatever winter throws your way on the golf course.
