Phil Mickelson has dropped a huge hint that he could go head-t0-head with Tiger Woods on the fairways once again.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who asked if there was chance if the pair could “play a round mic’d up with one camera guy and just put it out there on a stream for people to watch???”, the five-time major winner responded simply with “I’m working on it”.
Again responding to another fan who suggested he was teasing, Mickelson tweeted: “I don’t tease. I’m kinda a sure thing.”

Woods and Mickelson faced each other at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas in 2018 in an event dubbed ‘The Match: Tiger vs Phil’.
Mickelson won the matchplay contest, which went to a play-off, and scooped the $9 million prize fund.

The pair also had a series of closest-to-the-pin side bets.
After the 2018 event, Mickelson said: “I really enjoyed it.
“I hope that Tiger and I will do more events like that in the future with partners, because we didn’t have enough talking between us and I think that a partner will have more interaction.
“(The partners) could be other athletes, that would bring a certain element, too.”
