A brand new athletic golf shoe with models for men, women and juniors. FootJoy Fuel has it all…
FootJoy Fuel review: First Impressions
With bursts of bright dynamic colour this shoe isn’t going to be easy to miss out on the course.
As soon as I opened the shoe box I fell in love with the grey and pink colour way and I really like the additional burst of yellow on the sole.

These have a trainer like feel and athletic styling about them but they are unashamedly still a golf shoe and I really like that about them.

FootJoy Fuel review: The Technology
This shoe is designed with modern golfers in mind. It is athletic with bursts of colour and a dynamic design.
FootJoy really wanted to combine Tour-proven performance with style in this model to create something to suit new golfers.

The uppers and synthetic and specifically designed to be easy to clean. Also – and crucially for UK golfers – they are waterproof.
The sole was inspired by the Pro SL outsole and has enhanced grip giving you increased traction and stability for athletic performance.

The Stratolite EVA midsole provides lateral support while the stability bridge on the centre of the sole provides mid-foot support through the swing.
FootJoy Fuel review: NCG Verdict
It’s hard not to be impressed with these shoes, from the get go I really liked the athletic shaping and slightly narrow heel as it really held my foot in place well.
High tech performance shoes don’t always excel on comfort but this isn’t the case here with the Stratolite Eva Midsole giving you a real soft boost.

The styling of these really hits the nail on the head and adds something more sporty and athletic to FootJoy’s extensive line-up. I also like the fact we see numerous colour ways, some with bold colours and others more parred back to give people different options.
For the next few weeks these will be staying inside though as they are too attractive to get covered in mud! Check back in soon when myself and my colleague, Alex Perry, will be putting them to the test.
If you’ve already seen enough, though, here’s what you need to know…
