LIV Golf Singapore Betting: Could Sergio Garcia confirm Ryder Cup spot with another victory?

The LIV roster will be looking to peak for the Masters in a month’s time. Here’s who we think could win at Sentosa Golf Club this week

I was delighted to see Russell Henley topple Collin Morikawa to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week.

Having grazed the post a few times and after a few goal-line scrambles, it was nice to nudge a 55/1 winner over the line. On we to go Singapore, the fourth event of the LIV Golf schedule.

Sergio Garcia won in Hong Kong in superb fashion last week, beating Dean Burmester by three shots with a final round of seven-under. This was his second LIV Golf win which could’ve been a tally as big as five if he hadn’t lost in three playoffs since 2022.

Sentosa is regarded as one of the best courses in the world, and certainly in Asia. It is on the bucket lists of many golfers and has hosted many events on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour. Now, the venue is a staple of the LIV Golf schedule.

Anyway, let’s dive into who I think could win the LIV Golf Singapore event in 2025.

Jon Rahm @ 7/1

Jon Rahm still hasn’t finished outside of the top 10 of a LIV Golf event and until he does, I see no reason not to think he’ll claim his second win in the Saudi-funded league soon. In Riyadh, Adelaide and Hong Kong, he has gained strokes off the tee and around the green, which has been crucial to his finishes for tied for second, tied for sixth and outright sixth.

His game stands up to the best players in the world on Data Golf, the website that collates all manner of statistics and trends. Only Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele outscore him in all departments of the game when it comes to the numbers.

In Singapore last year, the Spaniard came tied for 10th and he was negative strokes gained in putting. This shows if he can get the short stick working this week, this could prove the difference between winning and placing this time around. Only two players in the LIV Golf roster have made more birdies and only two players have hit more greens in regulation in 2025.

We are a month away from the Masters. Rahm will have his eyes on winning another Green Jacket. There are only two LIV events between now and the Masters, so Rahm and many other stars will be using every competitive minute to peak for the time they arrive at Augusta National.

Sergio Garcia @ 14/1

Sergio Garcia is also a former Masters champion and like his fellow countryman, he will want to peak for this time next month. Garcia began his preparation in perfect fashion last week by winning in Hong Kong, rolling back the years with yet another win in his illustrious career.

But Garcia has maintained a huge level of consistency despite being 45 years old. The Spaniard’s putting was particularly outstanding on the Fanling course last week, gaining over 1.5 shots on the field. His putting and off-the-tee statistics are very sound so far in 2025, which has led to a win and a tied sixth finish in Riyadh.

Garcia has hit the most fairways so far in the LIV Golf League in 2025, and he ranks second in scrambling and putting average too. He is first in the individual standings which is the biggest sign of his strong start.

But arguably the biggest indication he could earn a third LIV Golf win this week is his form at Sentosa. He won the Singapore Open in 2018, so he knows how to win in this part of the world. It is also a Ryder Cup year, so Garcia will be as determined as ever to impress captain Luke Donald, now a member of the DP World Tour again.

Lucas Herbert @ 28/1

The last seven months have been extremely solid for Lucas Hebert. He ended the 2024 LIV season with top 10s at the Greenbrier and in Chicago and won the NSW Open in Australia before coming tied for fifth at the ISPS Handa Australian Open.

Herbert has started fast in 2025 as well. He came tied for fourth in Riyadh, played solidly in Adelaide and at the New Zealand Open and in Hong Kong, he came outright fourth. His putting and strokes gained off the tee were particularly outstanding last week on the Fanling course.

He had a little piece of good form at the same Singapore Open Garcia won where he came tied for eighth. He only came tied for 27th here last year, but his team Ripper GC won the team event in Singapore, so he will have fond memories of playing this course.

Only two players have made more birdies than him in the LIV Golf League this season and only two players have a better putting average. Herbert’s price certainly represents good value.
