Clothes aren’t necessarily the first thing that springs to mind when Mizuno is mentioned. More known for their irons, which are considered some of the best feeling clubs on the market, the Mizuno apparel range goes under the radar somewhat. That’s not to say this is the brand’s first venture into apparel, in fact far from it. Mizuno have been producing premium apparel and accessories since 1906 and have released some autumn/winter clothing as the cold and wet weather ceases to shift.

Mizuno have incorporated traditionally colder month colours with more modern patterns across the range. From umbrellas to trendy pullovers, Mizuno offer the complete set and will have you adequately equipped to battle the winter weather conditions.

In this guide, we’ll dive into some of the best winter apparel options from Mizuno, designed to keep you comfortable, agile, and focused—even when the weather is anything but pleasant.

Best Mizuno Winter Apparel 2025

Mizuno Tapered Trouser

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

There is nothing worse than feeling restricted when playing golf. The Mizuno tapered trouser has 4 way stretch making it supremely comfortable while still looking good and providing unrestricted movement.

They are mad from 135 gsm Polyamide/Elastane mix. There are 2 front pockets one of which has 3 additional tiny pockets which I assume to be for tees and/or ball markers but I could not find the intended function on any website.

There are 2 buttoned rear pockets. A smart and practical pair of trouser that will make your golf more comfortable.

PROS

  • Smart look
  • Comfortable
  • Lack of restriction when swinging

CONS

  • None

RRP: £70

SIZES: S, M, L, XL, XXL (Note that the medium also had the measurements- leg 32” and waist 34”)

Mizuno 20K Waterproof Trousers

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

The Mizuno 20K Waterproof Trousers I found to be very well designed. They look smart and are waterproof and stretchy, all of which are important.

They have a few other design features which enhances their performance. The pockets all have press stud closure and the back pockets have a large flap which covers them providing extra protection from the elements. The adjustability is a big plus.

The ankle cuffs have zip and hook and loop to allow for ease of donning and removal. The waist is elasticated with a press stud closure and a drawstring. There are also belt loops.

The material allows for 20,000 grams of moisture transfer, hence the name.

PROS:

  • Classic looks
  • Adjustability
  • Waterproof

CONS:

  • None

Mizuno Melange Long Sleeve Polo

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

I am a big fan of long sleeved polos and its nice to see one in the Mizuno range.

The Melange is made from 90% polyester (PES) and 10% Elastane (EL). The shirt is thin, stretchy and very comfortable.

You could either wear this on its own on a summer evening. Alternatively its great for layering in winter.

It comes in 4 colours with the Mizuno logo on the collar.

Unusually for a golf shirt it has a breast pocket on the left.

PROS:

  • Long sleeves
  • Comfortable and stretchy
  • Breast pocket

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £60

Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Colours: Black, Grey, Navy, Burgundy

Mizuno Contrast Polo

4 star review

The Mizuno contrast polo offers a smart looking and great performing golf shirt.

I love the 2 colours contrasting. The shirt is made from 2 different materials. The chest and back are the same material and colour. It is a slightly textured man-made material which is very stretchy. The main front part contrasts with a more standard type of material and is a different colour.

It is extremely comfortable and the contrasting materials look great but also perform well giving a huge amount of stretch and freedom. There are 3 different colour combinations. I tried the burgundy and black.

PROS:

  • Great looks
  • Comfortable
  • Stretchy

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £50

Sizes: Charcoal, Navy, Burgundy

Colours: S, M, L, XL, XXL

More info: Mizuno website

Mizuno Melange ¼ Zip Pullover

5 star review

I really like this type of top and wear them all the time even when not golfing.

The Mizuno Melange ¼ zip is a lightish pullover. It is largely one colour with contrasting seams and zip.

It is made from 93% polyester and 7% elastane and has 4 way stretch.

As a consequence it is comfortable and gives good freedom of movement. I would envision wearing this on a cooler summer’s evening or as part of layering in winter.

The apparel nowadays makes it easy to wear warm non-restrictive clothing for golf and a top like the Mizuno Melange ¼ zip is an essential piece of kit.

PROS:

  • Light but warm
  • Looks great
  • Comfortable
  • 4 -way stretch doesn’t restrict your swing

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £100

Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Colours: Black, Charcoal, Burgundy, Navy

 Mizuno Drop ¼ Zip

4 star review

Another iteration of my favourite type of golf top.

A lightweight long-sleeved golf pullover with a simple design. I tried the blue version. It has contrasting panels at the shoulders which adds a bit of interest and feeling like a slightly lighter material may contribute to more stretch.

Looking at the website the panels seem to be on the blue and charcoal but not the black and navy. It has a slightly fleecy lining which makes it comfortable and warm. This is a great top for layering in cold weather. Its 4-way stretch makes it easy to swing in.

PROS:

  • Clean looks
  • Comfortable
  • Good stretch when swinging

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black, Blue, Charcoal, Navy

 Mizuno Melange Reflect 1/4 Zip

4.5 star review

The Mizuno Melange Reflect 1/4 Zip top is another great looking and performing golf top.

Its point of difference is that it has a vented back panel designed for improved breathability. Mizuno claim it achieves this without compromising on heat retention.

As with many of their tops it has 4-way stretch so there is no feeling of restriction when playing golf. The chest and upper back has the black panel which gives a nice contrasting look as well as the back panel providing the venting.

There is a deep breast pocket with a reassuringly waterproof looking zip. A couple of reflective logos add a bit of interest to the appearance.

Comfortable and warm this top perfect for layering.

PROS:

  • Great looks
  • Vented back
  • Comfortable and stretchy

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £100

Sizes: Black, Charcoal, Navy, Burgundy (although the one I tried did not seem to be on their website)

Colours: S, M, L, XL, XXL

 Mizuno V Stripe 1/4 Zip

4 star review

This top has a two-tone double chevron pattern which really works.

The material has a slight sheen to it. There are contrasting collar and cuffs. Overall an interesting look which will appeal to most people.

The top itself is of a medium weight. It is very comfortable with the 4-way stretch, although I think this is particularly stretchy. This will work well as a top over a golf shirt or for layering up in winter.

PROS:

  • Chevron pattern very appealing
  • Very stretchy

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £90

Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Colour: Black, Navy, Burgundy

Mizuno Melange Reflect Jacket

4 star review

I like 1/4 zip tops in general but for those who prefer a jacket then the Mizuno Melange Reflect Jacket is a great alternative.

It has a windproof back and chest panel. The back is vented as per the 1/4 zip version. It is stretchy but the back panel is not so you may want to try a bigger size as there is not the same overall stretch as Mizuno’s other tops.

It is what I would describe as medium weight and is perfect as a year round top or for layering in the winter.

PROS:

  • Good looks
  • Vented back panel is innovative

CONS:

  • Slightly more restrictive than other tops in the same size

RRP: £120

COLOURS: Black, Charcoal, Navy, Burgundy

 Mizuno Melange Beanie

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

This is a double layered beanie made from 10% polypropylene and 90% Acrylic.

It seemed comfortable and warm. I liked the embroidered Mizuno logo at the front which gave it an air of quality. They are available in 4 colours.

PROS:

  • Good looks
  • Double layered for warmth

CONS:

  • A bit pricey

RRP: £26

COLOURS: Black, Grey, Navy, Burgundy

SIZES: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Mizuno Golf Mitts

5 star review

The Mizuno golf mitts are made from nylon and polyester with a warm fleece lining.

They come in one size and look great being mainly black but with a blue trim and a big mizen logo. They come in one size but are large enough to accommodate most hand sizes.

Additionally, they are also easy to put on and take off.

I would add that I could not find the info on the Mizuno website so I do not know whether they are completely waterproof. Nevertheless gloves like these are a vital piece of kit when battling the elements.

PROS:

  • Comfortable
  • Warm
  • Easy to put on and take off

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £32 but seem to be widely available at a reduced price.

Mizuno Thermagrip Men’s

National Club Golfer and National Club Golfer magazine

This is not an item I thought I would ever use but they are extremely well designed.

The Mizuno Thermagrip Gloves are for those extreme cold and/or wet days and come as a pair. They use Mizuno’s Breath Thermo ® technology which they claim generates heat and keeps your hands warm. There are fleece cuffs for added warmth and the gloves have a 3-D print for enhanced grip.

They are pretty comfortable when on but the thickness does lead to a loss of feel which is inevitable with this type of glove. This is not a criticism of this glove which I think does as good a job as is possible.

Playing with 2 gloves is very alien to me however they felt OK when swinging the club and hitting the ball. For extreme cold I think these do an excellent job and they will be a permanent fixture in my bag in the winter.

PROS:

  • Well designed
  • Warm
  • Not too cumbersome when playing.
  • Good price.

CONS:

  • Inevitable compromise on feel with this type of glove

RRP: £25

Mizuno Tour Twin Canopy Umbrella

4 star review

The Mizuno tour umbrella is a twin canopy design which helps avoid damage in windy conditions.

It has a large 55” diameter. It was easy to put up and down and felt sturdy.

The handle is an ergonomically designed EVA and has a soft spongy feel to it which is comfortable.

It is available in 4 colours and has a big Mizuno logo on it.

PROS:

  • Good functioning umbrella

CONS:

  • None
