A big profile driver head that will give golfers of all abilities confidence on the tee to swing hard. Boasting an impressive 9K MOI, there is plenty of forgiveness on offer that doesn’t effect the distance.
Aerodynamically, the Qi35 has developed massively from the previous Qi generations for quicker speeds.
Being a low handicap golfer this the core head I wouldn’t be fitted into out of the Qi35 range. Although, I do see how this can be a big asset to golfers who requiring a forgiving and confidence inspiring driver that still delivers great distances.
I now understand why the MAX driver is TaylorMade’s most popular driver. It is incredibly forgiving and not once when I was stood over the ball did I feel like I was going to miss a fairway.
The profile of the head is so inviting and is confidence inspiring for all golfers to be able to launch the golf ball into the air. Distance isn’t scarified for forgiveness, players will still be able to fly it a strong distance.

It is one fun driver to hit. If I wasn’t trying to squeeze out all the performance I could possibly gain then I would be inclined to give this some serious thought. Standing on the tee during testing, I felt like I could never miss a fairway with it. Knowing that no matter how I’m swinging the club I will find the fairway is a big boost and huge benefit for recreational golfers.
It’s easy to hit and feels great. There’s not much else a club golfer could need from a big stick.
A different feeling driver to most on the market. The weight ports of the back make the head feel strong at impact to ping the golf ball off the face.
This is a driver that has been designed with the upmost care. Detailing has been included that we wouldn’t even consider and as I sit here now I have probably still missed some of it. A classic compact shaping that delivers top quality performance, feel and looks.
Overall, this driver offers plenty of distance. The levels of consistency was first class, there wasn’t even five yards of difference between my longest and shortest drives. These shots were also from three different map points on the face of the driver, making the accuracy and distance consistency even more impressive.
It was no surprise that this was the biggest hitting driver out of the Qi35 range. I think this is a fantastic low spin option and with how hard TaylorMade have gone into the fitting of their clubs in the Qi35 range, this driver could work for you.
Overall, I was really impressed with this driver’s performance. When you are over the ball, you want to hit it, and so it gives you confidence before you even hit the ball.
The Qi10 produced consistent ball speed numbers and carry distance relative to my low club head speed. It was also extremely consistent across the board. I am right-handed and play with a fade and every shot I hit did just that, with not one shot going left.
If you are someone who is looking for consistency from your driver, this is a great option.

This driver is probably the best-looking driver head TaylorMade have ever released. The compact head shape with the new gloss finish Infinity Crown and blue carbon face, it is the most classic driver on the market right now.
The head shape is beautiful, I love that we have moved away from the red face and I love how the face seems to just seamlessly merges into the crown and the rest of the head. Before even hitting the club I’d be quite happy to have this is my bag just for sex appeal.
Out on the course, I love how the ball feels from the face. You can barely feel when you have hit the toe or the heel of the club, which is amazing.
I have no doubt that any golfers who currently use a TaylorMade driver will immediately move into the new Qi10 driver models, as it is a straight-up performance improvement. I can also see a lot of brand loyalists switching to this, too, especially if they prefer a classic-shaped head. This might be the best driver of 2024.

The data was mind-blowing, like crackers. If someone asked, I would have my club head about 108, and I think that is probably stretching it a bit.
The Stealth 2 was having me swing at 109.2 average, which was a real buzz. I think loads of this is down to confidence as one good shot after another just makes you want to hit it harder.
Getting up to ball speeds of almost 170 and spinning at just over 2000 rpm is serious performance. I have never been able to really get driver airborne and with a peak height average of mid 80s and a couple over 100 feet. I genuinely felt like a new golfer hitting long, high bombs.

The distance feels natural and that is shown in the dispersion. There are no tricks here, just a very well-balanced golf club that is helping you deliver it correctly time and time again. That down-range dispersion is obviously really important, and I think in Stealth 2, TaylorMade have a product that is genuinely longer and straighter than what has gone before.
TaylorMade are right on the money with the new Stealth 2 HD driver. It has all of the looks of a players club that golfers want, with all the technology to straighten out the ball flight, which is what all golfers need. I love that the draw bias is subtle and not so in your face as it can be with other brands.
I wouldn’t normally go anywhere near a draw-biased driver, with my bad shot normally being a low hook, so I wasn’t sure how I would get on with the Stealth 2 HD. I was quickly blown away by how easy to hit the driver was and how well the miss-hit shots performed.
This isn’t the longest of the Stealth 2 drivers, and that did show for me with the carry distances I achieved, not breaking any personal records, but this isn’t the point.
The point of the Stealth 2 is to give players who struggle with tee shots a driver that is easy to launch, performs well on off-centre hits and gets the ball in play more often, and that is exactly what the Stealth 2 HD delivers.
This is a seriously good-looking golf club. Straight away I loved the addition of the red ring at the back of the club head and love the colour pop it adds to the whole design.
TaylorMade have absolutely nailed how this club looks over the ball. They’ve transitioned from a matte crown to a gloss finish and although a nightmare to photograph, it looks stunning.
This is meant to be the least forgiving model in the Stealth 2 driver line-up. But I found I could swing this as hard as I want and still really control the dispersion.
Lots of people don’t know what to expect from a carbon faced and wonder if the sound and feel will suffer but I actually really like how fast and powerful this feels off the club face.

How do we test drivers?

Each driver is hit with TP5 golf balls to allow us to collect launch monitor data with our in-house TrackMan and Flightscope. After this it is time to head out onto the golf course and test the clubs in practice and competition play. We do this across a variety of golf clubs in our base of Yorkshire.
What is important when buying a new driver?
When buying a new driver it is important to know what you want from that club to help you improve.
Most people are looking for more distance, each driver model is optimised for different things. Depending on your swing and your impact conditions, you may not actually hit the model that is advertised as the longest, the furthest. So if you want more distance it is always worth giving different models a hit before you make a decision.
For most golfers, especially high handicappers, something that is more forgiving is going to yield the best performance. Most forgiving golf drivers have a slightly bigger club head with perimeter weighting for high MOI. They also have a center of gravity that is further back to help players get more height on their shots.
Do you want something that is draw bias? There are so many models out there to help with slice correction, it would be silly not to take a look if you see your ball disappearing into the right trees too often. A closed face and draw bias weighting can get you hitting straighter shots in no time at all.
Don’t forget about the shaft either. Getting the correct shaft can help dial in your spin, launch angle and can also give you some extra distance. Having a club fitting or trying different options with your local pro can really improve the performance of your new driver.

What is the latest TaylorMade driver?
The Qi35 Max is the headliner in terms of mass appeal this year. The Max stands for max MOI, max straight and max size.
The Qi35line from TaylorMade includes all their latest driver models. There are three options available, the Qi35 Max is the most forgiving model, with the Qi35 is designed to find the optimal balance between speed and forgiveness. Finally, the Qi35 LS is TaylorMade’s low-spin offering aimed at mid to low handicappers and offering ultimate speed and distance.
What’s different in the latest TaylorMade drivers?
TaylorMade say they have been ‘pushing the envelope of forgiveness’ to make the Qi35 drivers even better than the previous generation. In unlocking this new level of performance, the Qi35 drivers combine a lowered Centre of Gravity (CG) projection with maximum MOI to increase the available distance off the club face.
Essentially, CG projection is a measurement of the balance point of the head projected onto the face. A lower CG projection can help golfers to launch the ball higher with more ease. TaylorMade have opted to go down this route and lower the balance point and optimised the weight in the head to improve the launch capabilities across the face. This is to help increase distance from on and off-centre strikes.
The Qi35 range has seen a jump in forgiveness, as when the weight is set at the back of the club head there is a tighter dispersion of shots of up 13% compared to the Qi10 models. This is as a result of the introduction of carbon fibre into parts of the club head, the inclusion of the Carbon Twist Face and an Infinity Carbon Crown. All this allowed engineers to remove excess weight and add it further back to increase MOI.
