Best of the best! We bring you the low down on the best distance golf balls 2025
When it comes to improving your game on the course, one of the primary aspects to consider is the distance you’re getting off the tee. The right golf ball can significantly enhance your driving distance, and that’s why we’ve put together this list of top-performing golf balls for distance in 2025.
The contenders are the Titleist Velocity, Wilson Triad, Callaway Warbird Distance+, PXG Xtreme, Srixon Distance, TaylorMade Distance+ and Bridgestone E12 Speed. Each of these balls has been carefully engineered to provide optimal distance, without compromising on other aspects like control and feel.
Right out of the box, I found the Mavrik feels like a ball built for speed and endurance. It’s not urethane-covered, which gives it a firmer feel at impact. For me this was particularly noticeable on and around the greens. While it may lack the buttery softness of tour-level balls, the Mavrik’s alignment logo is easy to use and gives a sense of confidence over the putter.
I found the Mavrik’s real strength emerged with the driver. With super-low spin rates, the ball delivered impressive distance. It combined high launch and long roll-out for impressive overall performance. The combination of low spin and high flight provides the optimal launch conditions for maximum distance, and Callaway deserves credit for achieving this balance in a lower-priced ball.
Overall, the Callaway Mavrik is an excellent option for golfers who prioritise distance, durability, and value over greenside spin and soft feel. It is best suited to players who tend to lose a few balls per round or those who simply prefer a firmer, more resilient cover.
PROS
Provides excellent distance through low spin and high launch
Features a helpful alignment logo
Consistent and stable flight across all clubs
CONS
The firm feel may not appeal to all players

I was surprised to find the Condor look simple and classic. There’s none of Volvik’s trademark colour branding here, just a clean, traditional white finish. I like it. At address it inspires confidence, and the soft cover immediately feels a bit more premium than what I have experienced before from Volvik.

Off the driver, the Condor was particularly impressive. My ball speeds peaked at 154 miles per hour, carrying 267 yards and finishing close to 290 yards total. The driver spin averaged only 2,100 rpm, which is very low, but that low spin translated into longer and straighter drives. For club golfers looking for extra distance without sacrificing feel, this is an excellent combination.
Overall, I think the Volvik Condor is a very strong all-rounder that delivers performance well above its price bracket. It does not quite produce the same spin rates with irons as the very top models, but for most club golfers this is a worthwhile trade-off. The Condor offers long and consistent drives, a soft and premium feel, and plenty of spin around the greens.
PROS
Long and consistent off the tee
Strong wedge spin performance
Simple, traditional look
CONS
Iron spin slightly lower than ideal for stronger players

This is a fantastic golf ball option for club golfers. It offers incredible consistency throughout the bag as well as a durable construction. Off the tee is where it really stands out as quality distance golf ball.
Although it may lack the quality touch around the greens that most premium options offer, it is still high launching so golfers are able to control into the greens.
PROS
Incredibly consistent
High-launching
Durable
CONS
Lacks the crisp greenside control of some urethan cover golf balls
The Wilson Triad 2025 is an excellent all-around golf ball that delivers strong spin, good distance, and reliable performance — especially for mid-handicap golfers. Its forgiveness, quality construction, and affordability make it a great option.
I was particularly impressed with its performance around the greens with a wedge in hand. The feel was really good from the urethane cover and there was plenty of spin for optimal control on the putting surface.
Callaway’s Warbird Distance+ is a distance ball that creates maximum speed from an extra-large, high energy core, and a 2-piece construction. This durable design promotes high launch and long carry from our HEX Aerodynamics, with impressive feel and control to complement all that distance.
There isn’t much I can fault the PXG Xtreme Tour golf ball with. The all-round performance is fantastic and hugely impressive, especially off the tee. With a driver in hand you’ll be able to power your way down the fairways. This is one of the quickest ball speeds I have recorded, ball testing this year and the yardages didn’t disappoint either.
On the greens there is also a premium feel, supplied by the urethane cover. This spins a touch less than PXG’s other tour ball, the X model, but there is still plenty of control available when attacking the pins.
Srixon Distance golf balls are engineered with a soft, durable outer cover and a high-energy core that work together to maximize energy transfer and optimize ball speed for longer distances.
Their advanced aerodynamic design minimizes drag, helping players achieve a higher launch and more extended carry on every shot, making them a great choice for those seeking added distance.
The TaylorMade Distance Plus golf ball represents a brilliant budget golf ball for those looking to increase their distances. Equipped with new technologies, including the all-new React Speed Core, this golf ball produces a low spinning and penetrating ball flight.

Like the name suggests, it’s with the driver or woods in hand where it comes to life. If you can live without tour-level greenside spin then this is a fantastic option for any club golfer.
Pros:
Plenty of distance off the tee
A low, penetrating ball flight
Great value
Cons:
A drop in the spin rate around the greens

The Bridgestone e12 Speed is built for golfers who prioritise distance above all else and it delivers that in spades. With eye-catching gains off the tee and solid numbers through the bag, this ball brings value and velocity together in a tidy package. I think its performance will suit mid- to high-handicap golfers, particularly those playing in breezy links or heathland conditions where keeping the ball flight down is crucial.
It’s not going to offer the buttery feel or zip of a urethane-covered tour ball, but it doesn’t claim to. What it does offer is a big, booming ball flight with real gains in total distance and that makes it a genuine contender in the value-performance category.
In conclusion, the Titleist Velocity, Wilson Triad, Callaway Warbird Distance+, PXG Xtreme, Srixon Distance, TaylorMade Distance+ and Bridgestone E12 Speed are our top picks for golf balls that offer the greatest distance in 2025. These golf balls offer a unique combination of technologies that help increase driving distance while still maintaining good control and feel.
Choosing the right golf ball is an important part of improving your golf game, and one of these options could be the key to gaining those extra yards you’ve been aiming for. Remember, the best golf ball for you will depend on your individual play style and swing characteristics, but these options are an excellent starting point for anyone looking to up their distance game.
