First Impressions
Zero restriction is a brand that I was not familiar with. Perusing their website they produce an array of high quality gear. That said, I generally test kit before reading anything about it so I can approach it in as an unbiased way as possible.
This was the case with the Zero Restriction Rain Gloves. I have to be honest that many wet weather golf gloves I have tried have been at best adequate. On first inspection they looked good. Quite a nice design, as with many rain gloves they come in a pair and are black.
They are made from a best in class leather (Pittards Leather) with a wind stopper membrane interlining and Zero Restriction claiming it produces a superior grip. They also mention that they are smallish so you should go up a size. I had a pair of medium and could probably have done with the medium-large. They have a standard velcro closure and each glove has a ball marker.
On Course Testing
On to testing. Where possible I do not really use these types of gloves unless absolutely necessary so I will admit to being a tough audience for these. When on, all wet weather gloves feel a bit thicker and less flexible than normal gloves and these were no different. Coupled with wearing 2 gloves they do tend to feel a bit alien.

I tried a few preliminary swings with them dry and they had incredible grip. OK, no surprise there.
Testing them wet, however, I was absolutely blown away. I drenched these in water and wet my grips. Result: the grip was amazing. Without a doubt the best grip from wet weather gloves I have ever experienced – probably the best rain gloves on the market I have tested. There was no slipping whatsoever and I did not feel as if I had to grip tighter. They almost felt as if they had a tacky feel. Despite the fact that they will never feel like wearing a single normal glove I really liked wearing them and I was striking the ball easily. I had full confidence in the grip such that I did not have to give it any thought.
To me this is what sets them apart from others in this class. I also tried hitting with wet glove and grips wearing a single glove and the grip was again pretty good and it would be an option in light rain.
Final Thoughts:
As I mentioned, I test things before going on the website to read the blurb. When I tested these I was mightily impressed. The RRP is £84 / $108 on the Zero Restriction website, which could get you a little bit watery of eye!
However, given the performance of these I have to recommend them as they really do the job, even for the full RRP. The comments on their website largely concur with the performance I experienced – so, from a performance perspective they warrant a 5 out of 5.

If you do take the plunge and decide to make the purchase I would definitely recommend going up at least a size.
