Best G/Fore Autumn Winter Apparel
G/FORE Tour 5 Pocket 4 way stretch trouser
The G/FORE Tour 5 Pocket 4-Way Stretch Trouser, I have to say, are very impressive.
They’re extremely comfortable with a great fit, that kind of material that feels structured yet soft, with a touch of stretch. As a winter trouser, they feel surprisingly light but still keep you warm and well protected from the elements.
There’s really no need for waterproofs unless the rain gets heavy. I’m a 32/32, and the medium fit me perfectly. They’re available in waist sizes 30–42 and leg lengths 30–34, so there’s a good range to choose from. I went for one of my favourite colours, Onyx (basically black), but they come in a variety of shades. I’ve got my eye on Twilight next, as the fit and feel are spot-on. They’re not the cheapest pair of golf trousers out there, but having tried them, I’d say the quality more than justifies the price. They look and feel premium, and I’ve no doubt they’ll last, so it’s all relative
G/FORE have just launched their new winter range, and I had the pleasure of trying out the Brushed Back Tech ¼ Zip Pullover. From the moment I put it on, I could tell it was quality. The fabric feels lightweight yet well insulated, made from brushed back tech terry with moisture-wicking properties to keep you comfortable throughout your round.
As they say, it’s all about layers, and this one delivers. It felt great to wear and really did the trick on a cold, windy day. I paired it with a G/FORE polo and gilet, and I was perfectly toasty.
The pullover is stylishand comes in a range of colours: Daybreak, Light Grey Melange, Onyx, Snow, andTwilight. I went for the Light Grey, which paired perfectly with my Onyx trousers and gilet. It’s available in sizes Small through XXL. I’m six foot and usually wear a slim fit; the medium gave me a comfortable, slightly loose fit, ideal for freedom of movement when swinging a golf club.
This is a must-have addition to any golfer’s wardrobe this winter. Having not owned any G/FORE clothing before, I’m genuinely impressed by the quality and design of their range, it might just become my new go-to brand for golf apparel.
When National Club Golfer asked me to review the new winter range from G/FORE, I didn’t hesitate.
I was sent the Cotton Jersey Long Sleeve to try, and I was very impressed. Like the rest of G/FORE’s winter range, it’s lightweight yet surprisingly warm. It’s perfect for all kinds of sports; as a squash player, I found it ideal as a warm-up layer, and it’s also great for mountain biking. It even works well as a casual top off the course.

The fabric is soft and made from a cotton blend, giving it a relaxed fit that’s comfortable without feeling baggy. It’s also highly breathable, keeping you fresh and comfortable throughout the day. While it’s spot-on for winter, it’s just as handy for cooler summer evenings, the kind of layer you throw on over a polo when the sun dips and you’re still in shorts.
I have to say, I loved this piece, and as I’m writing this review, I’m actually wearing it at my desk!
In winter, one of the most important pieces of gear any golfer can own, apart from a good midlayer, is a quality gilet. It needs to keep you warm, protect you from the elements, and offer complete freedom of movement. Ideally, it should be as lightweight as possible while still providing maximum warmth and protection.
Having had the pleasure of testing the new Maverick Hybrid Stretch Gilet from G/Fore, I must say it’s not the cheapest option out there, but it ticks all the boxes and then some. It kept me incredibly warm thanks to its lightweight Primaloft insulation. I’m not entirely sure what Primaloft is made of, but it feels soft, light, and it absolutely does the job.
What impressed me most was how unrestrictive it felt. I’ve tried other gilets in the past that were bulky or heavy, which can really interfere with your swing. The Maverick, on the other hand, felt effortless, super light and completely non-restrictive.

It’s also a great-looking piece. Stylish enough to wear off the course, it works just as well for outdoor events, bonfire nights, or walking the dog. You can even layer it under a coat for extra warmth.
Overall, I absolutely loved this gilet. It’s practical, stylish, and high performing, a perfect companion for winter golf and beyond.
It’s available in a great range of colours and sizes, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium, versatile outer layer.
I recently got to try the All Play Stripe Stretch Knit Polo from G/FORE, and I have to say, I really liked it. The fit was just right, not too tight, not too loose. So it felt comfortable all round but still looked smart. I didn’t feel restricted at all, which is important when you’re swinging a club, and the stretch in the fabric made it really easy to move in.
Being G/FORE, it’s instantly stylish. The stripe design is simple but modern, and the quality really shows when you put it on. It feels soft, comfortable, warm and well made, definitely a step up from your average polo. It comes in small to XXL and three great designs Baja / Dune / Twilight. I had the Dune but have got my eye on buying the Baja (light blue!) too.
It’s not cheap, but honestly, when you get this level of fit, style, and quality, it’s worth it. I’d happily wear it on the course or just out and about. A proper classic.
Playing golf in winter isn’t for the faint hearted. Any hardened golfer will tell you that. But if you equip yourself with G/Fore’s winter offerings, you’ll find that the cold weather is not an obstacle, but an invitation to showcase your dedication to the game. Always remember, your best winter golfing experience is just an outfit away.
