The Quantum shoes from FootJoy are brand new for 2024.
Out of the box I loved the design. You can see that the sole is packed full of foam, making this FJ’s most plush and cushioned ride yet. The spikeless sole is very lightweight yet the high back and tongue means that there is an ample amount of ankle protection and support.
The Quantum shoes features a Ortholite® Impressions FitBed®, designed for comfort where your foot moulds into the shoe.

The Quantum shoes from FJ are brand new of 2024. Out of the box, I really liked the modern design. The plain white leather is very soft to the touch. The back to midsection of the shoe is grey with a rough texture and the FJ logo. This section ties nicely into the tongue of the shoe and laces that has a grey/pink lace that looks great.
The sole of the shoe is very unique. The rounded bumps in the foam help to emphasise how much padding these shoes provide.
The colourway of these shoes looks great. The white front, white grey with hints of light pink is really nice. The underneath of the shoe continues this colourway which is a nice touch from FJ.
I wore these shoes a couple of times in practice before finally taking them out on the golf course. I enjoyed how spongey they felt on my feet thanks to the SofFOAM technology. FJ claims that this shoe has the most plush cushioning yet and I can see why. Alongside the cushioned sole there is an OrthoLite EcoPlush Fit-Bed®. When you put your foot in this shoe there is plenty of foam but not too much that your foot is squashed.
The shape of the Quantum is different from any of the other FJ shoes that I have tried. The back sits quite high, providing a lot of ankle support. This is continued around the sides to the tongue. This is something that my feet aren’t used to and initially, I experienced some slight rubbing however after a couple of wears this was no longer an issue.

As these are spikeless golf shoe, FJ has had to find a way to create a good amount of traction. I think that they have done this well with an assortment of different shapes and size pieces at the sole of the shoe. The performance on the course with the rubber traction in fairly soft conditions was pretty impressive. Not only did they provide traction and stability during the swing but also when walking around.
These shoes are mainly constructed from a soft leather upper with a performance coated mesh panel. These can be quite easily wiped clean, making the upkeep very quick and easy. The soft leather also meant that after playing a few rounds there has been little to no creasing that you can get from some shoes.
In terms of sizing, I wore these shoes in my standard uk7.5. I really enjoyed the fit of these shoes and absolutely agree that they’re the perfect size. I also wore the regular width but for those players with wider feet, FJ offers a wide option.
