The do-it-all utility? The new Titleist U505 driving iron is designed for players who want to increase launch and speed in their long irons.
Titleist U-Series irons 2021: First impressions
Aesthetically this is so much smaller and sleeker than we saw in the previous U500 ad U510 models.
I really like the way the design is heavily influenced by irons in the T-Series range. It really looks like part of the family and especially echoes the lovely crisp shaping we see in the T200 iron.
Titleist U-Series irons 2021: The technology
Titleist got plenty of feedback from tour players when updating the shaping of this model. The result was a shorter blade length but retaining the wide sole chassis.

The aim of this model is to provide a high, hybrid-like flight in an iron shaping.
This is achieved with the weight-optimised chassis, engineered muscle plate, and heavier, higher-density tungsten.

The iron features the same Max Impact 2.0 technology as the T200 and T300 irons.
A polymer core sits behind the club face for more ball speed and better feel.
