There are two small wheels at the back to maintain balance when moving up the hill, which admittedly takes some getting used to as I leapt multiple times thinking it would topple, it never did. Overall I was impressed with this trolley. The only negatives are that the straps and the handles look a little “budget”. The other thing, not unique to this trolley, is the potential vulnerability of the screen to damage. I know this only too well to my cost with my own trolley which is another brand but I have seen countless trolleys of all brands with broken screens.
Those minor gripes aside, functionally, I really liked this. For the price it offers great performance, in particular the downhill braking, which for me, would be a massive draw. I would highly recommend checking out this trolley.

Overall, I think the FX1 is a great edition to the Powakaddy range. Its definitely a big positive to have a cheaper option for people who don’t want to spend as heavily on some of the other options.
There isn’t always a need for all the features modern electric trolley offer. A lot of golfers may already have GPS, for example, on their watch so there’s no point in paying for add-ons that you already have.
I love how premium it feels, although it is still a quite a lot of money at £650 – though is available at reduced prices.

Straight away, when you get this out of the box, this is an impressive product. I really like the stealth matt black finish, and gives this a more high-end look. Even small details, such as the tyre pattern, have been updated to make this seem more premium than other models in the PowaKaddy range.
The remote is very simple and intuitive to use with arrows for forward and backwards as well as left and right. The central stop button gradually slows the trolley down, if you press and hold this you will initiate the emergency stop function. A great feature in case steering goes wrong.
The trolley uses a swivel front wheel to help you control direction. Although I found speed and distance control very easy sometimes I found left-to-right movement was slightly skiddy.
It is great to be able to walk straight to the green and send your trolley off to the next tee when you are finishing out a hole. It almost feels like you have your own personal caddie, which definitely helps speed up play.
The GPS function on the RX1 GPS electric trolley is exceptional. I have used this before in my CT8 model and find it really easy to use. It comes preloaded with over 40,000 courses worldwide so you nearly always have access to data out on the golf course.
I have been using this trolley for over a year now and I love the performance. I have used it on flat courses, hilly courses and it dry and wet conditions and it always works perfectly.
If you are conscious about space, this is the perfect model. The 2-step folding method allows the trolley to fold down extremely small. If you choose to invert the wheels, this model ends up barely bigger than a rucksack and I found it could easily fit in a foot well in my car.

The lightweight battery is very compact and sits nicely in the frame. The FX3 model is available in classic black or polar white, both featuring the classic grey handle grips and yellow PowaKaddy detailing. As well as being easy on the eye, it was easy to assemble with just one click folding system unfolding the whole trolley.
The simplicity continued when it came to the functioning of the trolley. One dial controls the stopping, starting, and speed.
When it comes to storing the FX3 it is certainly not PowaKaddy’s smallest option but with the one-click folding mechanism, it is one of the quickest and easiest. Overall, I really enjoyed using this trolley. As PowaKaddy’s entry model it is the most basic however if you’re after an easy-to-use, stylish electric trolley this ones for you.
