On Türkiye’s sun-drenched southern coast, Belek has blossomed into one of Europe’s golfing hotspots. With plenty of superb courses, golden beaches, and year-round sunshine, it’s no wonder golfers flock here. Yet even among such riches, one name stands out and that is Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort. This is a jewel of luxury and world-class golf.

Turkey, on the whole, has become a popular destination for a golfing holiday. There is the perfect blend o championship golf courses to play and luxury resorts to stay at. The rich sense of culture as well as phenomenal food options means you will have the complete experience. Perhaps no where does this better than the Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort.

This isn’t simply a place to play golf, though the chance to follow in the footsteps of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka on Colin Montgomerie’s championship course is reason enough to visit. It’s a destination where every element of your trip, from breakfast to your final putt on the floodlit 18th, is elevated into something unforgettable.

Follow in the footsteps of legends

At the heart of the resort lies the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Championship Course, designed by Ryder Cup icon Colin Montgomerie. Stretching across 104 hectares of pine forest and sandy ridges, this four-time host of the Turkish Airlines Open has welcomed golfing royalty, such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and many more.

The course is unique in Europe for its nine floodlit holes, meaning the magic doesn’t end at sunset. From the dramatic 18th to the breathtaking par-3 16th, every round here offers theatre and challenge in equal measure.

Speaking about his favourite hole at Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Montgomerie Maxx Royal General Manager, Mr Cahit Şahin said; “The 18th hole provides a dramatic finish, demanding both precision and strategy for a thrilling conclusion to any round.

“The 16th hole is one of the most visually stunning, with breath-taking scenery and a well-crafted design. The 9th hole is a technically playable challenge, requiring a strategic approach and well-executed shots.

“Each of these holes captures the essence of Montgomerie Maxx Royal, making every round here a memorable experience.”

The elegant clubhouse is the social hub, perfect for post-round dining or simply soaking up the view from its terrace. For those who want golf on their doorstep, the private villas beside the fairways combine proximity with pure indulgence.

Suites, villas, and seaside bliss

The crescent-shaped all-suite hotel gazes out across the Mediterranean. Rooms are vast, with sweeping balconies and luxury touches like Nespresso machines and complimentary mini-bars. For privacy, the two-bedroom Laguna Suites give you direct access to the pool, while the golf side villas, surrounded by greenery, resembles a serene area to holiday.

A feast for every taste

This golf resort may be in Turkey, but the choice of food comes from around the world. Holiday goers can choose from eight à la carte restaurants, including traditional Turkish at Safraan, Italian at Kalamatas, Japanese at Bishoku, and seafood at Seavoré. For something special, Gastro by Alfredo Russo, created by the Michelin-starred chef, brings a bit of modern Italy to the Riviera.

Breakfast is available at the buzzing Azure food hall, cocktails by the pool, or artisan chocolates from the in-house patisserie. Being an all-inclusive resort, you really can indulge on your own terms.

More than golf

Golf may be the star attraction, but wellbeing is also promoted at the resort. The Maxx Wellbeing centre offers over 30 different massages, from Thai herbal compress to Ayurvedic Shirodhara, alongside hammam rituals, skin therapies, and personalised fitness programmes. Whether you seek energy or calm, it’s a sanctuary for body and mind and for guests to relieve any tension.

Visitors can also take advantage of a private aquapark, adventure park, and the superb Maxxi Land kids club. Evenings are brought to life with live music, DJs, and stage shows, while the Maxx Assistant ensures every detail of your stay is tailored to you.
