North Wales, South Wales, the west coast? There is plenty of choice but when it comes to their favourite region of Ireland, what have our panellists decided on?
There is plenty of choice when it comes to Irish golf, with links courses around the coast, and stunning moorland tracks further infield.
When it comes to booking a golf holiday, you might need to make the choice as to which part of Irish you want to visit. Each region provides a mixture of seaside links courses, along with moorland courses which are further inland.
What do our panellists think? Where would they go if they had to choose a specific region in Ireland?

Favourite region in Ireland? What do our panellists think?
Jim Banting: Donegal – the north-west corner is full of surprises and hidden gems.
Steve Carroll: Donegal is now getting serious attention. The new St Patrick Links, at Rosapenna, only adds to the headlines but this area has loads of variety and price points.
Dan Murphy: Donegal – For years, golfing tourists have made a beeline for Kerry. Now they are finally prioritising Donegal.
Mike Robertson: Lahinch is brilliant. Great course and some lovely bars in the town.
Mike Hyde: It’s hard to argue with quality of the north-east – there are some cracking parkland layouts around Belfast and Dublin, alongside the world-class links offerings like Royal County Down, Royal Portrush and Portmarnock.
Ed Battye: Donegal – Variety of courses. Affordable. The people. The scenery.
Chris Myatt: Donegal – The ruggedness of the Atlantic coast is perfect for great golf courses to be dropped on to. Rosapenna and Ballyliffin certainly follow this principle.
Craig Morrison: Donegal: grand resorts, isolated seaside stretches, peninsular nine-holers. And its eponymous club, at Murvagh, boasts one of the world’s most interesting links.
Josh Poysden: The south-west. Despite the heavy visitor traffic, it has the best depth of courses combined with great craic.

Lewis Marr: County Kerry just shades it ahead of Dublin, I enjoy the remote locations and the anticipation during the drive to a venue.
Dove Jones: The north-west. You can still can find authentic Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way with amazing scenery and challenging links that are still (for now) relatively uncrowded.
Mike Atkinson: The County Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow area which incorporates an amazing array of outstanding golf courses, including parkland, heathland and links.
