Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston is back in the swing of things on the DP World Tour.
The popular Englishman is loved by golf fans for his infectious personality, extraordinarily long and thick beard and vulnerability. After suffering from injuries to his thumb and back on separate occasions, he wasn’t able to compete on tour in 2022 and 2023.
He has bravely opened his heart to the golf world by speaking about his mental health struggles, which has made his long-awaited return to form on the formerly-named European Tour all the more welcome.
During his absence from professional golf, he has produced the podcast Beef’s Golf Club which has skyrocketed in popularity itself. It seems everything Johnston touches turns to gold, and this is appearing the case again on the golf course too.
He won the Spanish Open in 2016 and in the same year, he enjoyed a great run at The Open at Troon, coming tied for 8th. More recently he’s made top-25 finishes in the Czech Republic and at the Belfry.
