It’s been an incredible second day at Marco Simone. Europe once again dominated the morning Ryder Cup foursomes – a 3-1 success extending their overall lead to 9.5-2.5 in the eternal city.

But the USA finally showed signs of life in the afternoon fourballs – secured a 3-1 win – and will still hold out hope of conjuring a remarkable turnaround despite trailing 10.5-5.5 going into the final day.

Now it all comes down to this, 12 singles matches to decide who claims Sam Ryder’s famous trophy.
