Paul Waring is an Englishman who has won twice on the DP World Tour, with those wins coming six years apart.

Born in February 1985 in Birkenhead in the northwest of England, Waring was destined for a sporting life thanks to his mother – a swimmer for England during her younger days. He was introduced to the game of golf by his grandfather, and went on to turn professional in 2007, earning his European (now DP World) Tour card that same year via the Q-School route.

The Englishman would have to wait more than a decade before securing his maiden professional victory. It would come in his 200th European Tour event, at the Nordea Masters in 2018. Another six years would follow before his second win, and what is the biggest of his career to date. He was victorious at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the first event of the DP World Tour Playoffs in 2024, beating fellow Englishman Tyrrell Hatton by two shots.
