  • Did you know?

Mirim Lee is one of South Korea’s finest golfers in the 21st Century, with a major title among eight professional victories.

Born in October 1990, the Korean started playing golf at a young age, and had some success in the amateur ranks before turning professional at the age of just 18. She went on to win three times on the LPGA Tour of Korea over the next few years, before making the move to the LPGA Tour for the start of the 2014 season.

She won twice on the LPGA Tour in her rookie season, claiming wins at the Meijer LPGA Classic and the Reignwood LPGA Classic. Had it not been for Lydia Ko winning three times that season, Lee may well have been Rookie of the Year. Lee would win again in 2017, but her crowning moment came at the 2020 ANA Inspiration (now Chevron Championship). She got the better of Brooke Henderson and Nelly Korda in a playoff, making birdie on the first extra hole, to claim her maiden major title.
