Matthieu Pavon is the leading Frenchman in the game of golf, with recent wins on both the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour.

Born in November 1992 in Toulouse, France, Pavon took up the sport from a young age, and was destined to be a sporting star – his father played football professionally for several Ligue 1 teams. After a solid amateur career, Pavon turned professional in 2013, and would only have to wait a year for his maiden title, which came on the Alps Tour.

It would not be until 2023 that Pavon would have success on the world stage. That came at the Acciona Open de Espana on the DP World Tour, but it would then be just three months before he secured a first PGA Tour title. A birdie on the 72nd hole at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open meant the Frenchman became a PGA Tour winner for the first time. That year, he also had his first major top-5 finish and reached the Tour Championship – both career firsts.
