Christiaan Bezuidenhout is one of the leading South Africans in the game, with a trio of DP World Tour victories to his name.
Born in Delmas in 1994, he had to come through adversity at a very young age. After accidentally drinking rat poison at the age of just 2, Bezuidenhout began playing golf a couple of years later, at the nearby Delmas Golf Club, where his father was a scratch golfer. The South African turned professional in 2015, and soon became a star on both the IGT Pro Tour and the Big Easy Tours.
The South African was then Rookie of the Year on the Sunshine Tour, and has gone on to secure three victories on the DP World Tour. The first of those came at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters, before back-to-back wins at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and South African Open came in 2020.
On the international stage, Bezuidenhout has represented South Africa at the Olympic Games on two occasions. He finished T16 in Tokyo, before achieving the same finish in Paris three years later. He has also played for the International Team at the Presidents Cup, doing so in the 2022 edition of the tournament.
