Angel Yin is a winner on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour, and now a regular at the Solheim Cup for Team USA.

Yin was born in California in October 1998, and began playing golf at the age of 6. She showed promise from that age, and went on to win the 7-8 year old category at the Junior World Golf Championships, before then being victorious at the California State Women’s Amatauer at the age of 12, and again at 14.

The American turned professional in 2016, and went on to win her first professional title a year later on the Ladies European Tour. She won a play-off to claim the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic title. She has gone on to finish as runner-up in two majors, doing so at the 2019 US Women’s Open and the 2023 Chevron Championship. In 2023, Yin finally won on the LPGA Tour for the first time, victorious in Shanghai. She claimed her third professional title, and her second LPGA win in Thailand two years later.

Yin made her debut in the Solheim Cup in 2017, with captain Juli Inkster choosing the then-19-year-old as a captain’s pick. She scored 1.5 points on debut, before then scoring two points from three matches in the 2019 edition. After missing out two years later, Yin was a captain’s pick for the 2023 Solheim Cup at Finca Cortesin.
