Five-time major winner re-signs after 10 years with the brand

Phil Mickelson signs new equipment deal with Callaway

Phil Mickelson insisted the “best years of his career” are still ahead of him after signing a multi-year equipment extension with Callaway.

The five-time major winner, who has been known to use the odd driver or fairway wood from rival brands, has been Callaway’s marquee player for the last 10 years.

One of the game’s great tinkerers when it comes to equipment, Mickelson has re-signed to use Callaway’s clubs and balls in a deal that is likely to take him up to the end of his PGA Tour career.

“When I joined the team at Callaway 10 years ago, I knew I was making the best decision of my career,” Mickelson said.

“And I feel even stronger about that decision today. Backed by innovative technologies, industry-leading products, and the outstanding R&D group that works so closely with me, I honestly believe that these next few years will be the best of my career.”

Mickelson enjoys a close relationship with Callaway’s head of R&D Dr Alan Hocknall and works closet with the brand on new prototypes.

Callaway’s president and CEO Chip Brewer is delighted to keep Mickelson on board.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Phil,” said Brewer.

“He has meant so much to Callaway, and he continues to inspire us to develop the most innovative equipment in golf.”
