Tiger Woods played in all four majors in 2024, but when is he next pencilled in to tee it up?

Tiger Woods continues to walk back into the fire as he attempts to maintain his activity in professional golf.

Before 2024 began, the 15-time major champion wanted to play golf once a month, beginning with the Genesis Invitational in February.

Following a withdrawal with the flu, this plan didn’t pan out. Woods didn’t play golf in March but did compete in the Masters, the PGA Championship and the US Open thereafter in the three subsequent months.

With just one cut made, Woods contemplated whether he’d played in his last US Open, but set his sights on Royal Troon where he began another quest for the Claret Jug.

Unfortunately, the players faced rather brutal conditions at the 152nd Open Championship in South Ayrshire and Woods missed the cut again. It was anothing sparring Tiger Woods tee time that couldn’t be reproduced at the weekend of a major championship.

Tiger Woods tee time: What time does Tiger Woods tee off?

Following the major season, Woods would usually look to December when the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship are played.

Woods hosts the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas where 20 of the best players in the world compete in what is part of the PGA Tour schedule and where players can somewhat controverisally accrue world ranking points. It is possible that Woods tees it up at this event which begins on December 5.

The PNC Championship is a pairs competition played in Florida, beginning on December 19, which could also feature a Tiger Woods tee time. Woods has played with his son Charlie in several additions of the event, and other legends of the game such as John Daly, Vijay Singh and Annika Sorenstam also play with their family members.

Looking ahead to 2025, Woods has his own exemption category on the PGA Tour which allows him a spot in each of the Signature Events which, in 2024, had elevated purses, smaller fields and no cuts on most occasions. Away from the majors, it could be that Woods plays a little more depending on his fitness and ongoing battle against the injuries he sustained in a car accident in 2021 which still have a lasting effect on his body.

So it isn’t yet clear when the next Tiger Woods tee time will be, but given the trend of the last few years, it could be that Woods has a couple more events in him. It is important to note, however, that Woods underwent more surgery of his lumbar spine for nerve impingement in the lower back which he revealed on September 13.
