It’s set to be a historic week at the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open with 11-time LPGA Tour winner Lexi Thompson making her PGA Tour debut in Las Vegas.

Thompson will be the seventh female golfer to ever tee it up on the PGA Tour, following in the footsteps of Brittany Lincicome, Michelle Wie West, Suzy Whaley, Annika Sorenstam, Shirley Spork and Babe Didrikson Zaharias.

When is the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open?

This year’s Shriners Children’s Open will be played between October 12 and 15, 2023.

The tournament is the third of seven FedEx Cup Fall Events.

Where is the Shriners Children’s Open played?

The Shriners Children’s Open is played at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. The course is a par-71 measuring 7,255 yards and was designed by Bobby Weed and Fuzzy Zoeller.

Who is the defending champion?

2023 Shriners Children's Open

Tom Kim is the defending champion at this year’s Shriners Children’s Open with the South Korean recording a four-shot victory over Patrick Cantlay and Matthew NeSmith to claim his second PGA Tour title.

Who is in the field?

Kim will be in the field in Las Vegas as he looks to defend his title and claim his third PGA Tour title. Lexi Thompson is also in the field having been granted a sponsor exemption to the event.

Other notable entrants include former Players Championship winners Webb Simpson and Si Woo Kim, while a host of former PGA Tour winners including Stewart Cink, Tom Hoge, and Emiliano Grillo will tee it up.

Ludvig Aberg will continue his rise after narrowly missing out on his first PGA Tour title at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson.

How much does the winner receive?

The winner of the Shriners Children’s Open will receive a $1.512 million winner’s share of the $8.4 million prize purse on offer at the tournament. The winner will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points.
