Three years later, the Olympic Games are back and so is the golf.
Scottie Scheffler won the gold medal for Team USA last week, beating Tommy Fleetwood of Team GB by one shot at Le Golf National. That is now back-to-back Olympic men’s golf events that the States have won.
Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang and Lilia Vu will be hoping to do the same, particularly Korda who is the dominant force in the women’s game in 2024 and who also won the gold medal in Tokyo last time.
Charley Hull and Georgia Hall will represent Team GB in pursuit of the top of the podium. Perrine Delacour of France will take the opening tee shot in Guyancourt on Thursday.
