Jennifer Kupcho is now a constant in the American Solheim Cup team, a major champion and multiple-time LPGA Tour winner.
Kupcho was born in Colorado in 1997 and began playing the sport at the age of 5. She went to Wake Forest University and had an amazing amateur career. She was the World No.1 amateur for 34 weeks, and won the NCAA Division I Championship while at WFU.
She graduated in 2019 and immediately turned professional, winning the Colorado Women’s Open the next year. She had to wait until 2022 for her first LPGA Tour title, but that came on the biggest stage. Kupcho’s first win on the LPGA Tour was at the Chevron Championship, making a major her first. The American has four professional victories, with three of those on the LPGA.
Kupcho is a two-time Solheim Cup participant, having made her debut in the competition in 2021 on home soil, where she earned 2.5 points from her four matches, one of the better records on Team USA that week. The 2023 edition of the bi-ennial team event was her first in Europe.Â

Kupcho had a wonderful amateur career, winning the 2014 Colorado Junior Stroke Play Championship, the 2017 Canadian Women’s Amateur, and the 2019 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, along with the 2015 CWGA Stroke Play Championship – which she retained for the next two years.Â
She won the 2018 NCAA Division I Golf Championship, and subsequently earned the 2018 NCAA Player of the Year while at Wake Forest. She spent more than 30 weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Rankings.Â
2022 Trio
Coming into 2022, Kupcho was yet to win a title on the LPGA Tour. However, she ended the season with three titles, including her maiden major crown. Her first win came at the Chevron Championship, becoming the sport’s newest major champion. She then won twice more on the LPGA Tour to cap off a stunning season.
From Curtis Cup to Solheim Cup
Kupcho played for the United States on three occasions as an amateur. She featured at the Arnold Palmer Cup, Espirito Santo Trophy and the Curtis Cup. Three years later, Kupcho was a part of Team USA in the Solheim Cup.
