Nelly Korda is slowly establishing herself as the best women’s golfer of her era.
Having just one major championship to her name and eight LPGA Tour wins before the start of 2024, Korda is now a double-major winner who won seven times in 2025.
A string of six wins came in the space of seven starts, launching herself into a new stratosphere where she is being compared to the likes of Annika Sorenstam and other legends of the sport.
She has her sister Jessica on the LPGA Tour too, and her brother Sebastian Korda is a tennis player on the ATP Tour, so she hasn’t been short of motivation to improve throughout her career.

Nelly Korda boyfriend: Meet Andrea Athanasiou, the Canadian ice hockey player
This might also be thanks to her boyfriend Andrea Athanasiou, a Canadian hockey player who has been by the American superstar’s side for several years now.
Athanasiou was born in Ontario and he plays in the centre for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League. He started playing in 2014 and has previously played for the Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings.
He has also represented Canada at international level at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
Korda and Athanasiou have reportedly been seeing each other since 2019 and he has often been spotted supporting her at various tournaments. The picture above shows the pair celebrating at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Michigan in 2021.
On November 28, 2025, Korda announced that the pair were engaged.
