Nostalgia will be running through the veins of golf fans as now they will be able to order trading cards with LIV Golf’s biggest stars printed on them…

Bin your Alan Shearer and Teddy Sheringham stickers – your nostalgic sports collectables are about to be blown out of the water.

LIV Golf and the Panini Group have announced a multi-year partnership in which Panini will make its first move in the golf world for trading cards.

The inaugural line of products will feature memorabilia and autographs from LIV players.

Part of this deal is the LIV Golf Panini Instant card program where real-time cards will be released after tournaments to highlight winning moments and memorable shots, as well as LIV Golf team sets.

Fans young and old will be familiar with Panini’s presence in the world of sport and entertainment. It works with the biggest leagues and brands in sports such as the Premier League, FIFA, the NFL, and the NBA, as well as Disney.

It is a company that was established over 60 years ago in Italy and it has become the world leader in producing officially licensed collectables.

From Diego Maradona to Michael Jordan and Stone Cold Steve Austin of World Wrestling Entertainment, Panini has produced items dedicated to history’s most recognisable athletic faces.

“LIV Golf is thrilled to partner with Panini, a global brand committed to connecting with fans around the world through the love of sport,” LIV Golf chief executive Greg Norman said.

“Just as our league continues to innovate and bring professional team golf mainstream, our partnership will introduce new products to the market for millions of passionate fans and collectors to enjoy.

“As a former player, I’m particularly excited for our players and teams as we work with Panini to elevate their platforms in this space.”

Now that Panini trading cards have stepped into golf, trading cards featuring the faces of Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau could be arriving at shops near you.
