Adrian Meronk is expected to sign for LIV Golf.
The Times has reported the 2023 DP World Tour Player of the Year will join Cleeks GC captained by Martin Kaymer.
Rumours around the Polish star’s future emerged at the end of last year, but he appeared to dash them on December 6 by posting a picture of his new PGA Tour card on Instagram.
His withdrawal from the Farmers Insurance Open this week was forgiven following reports of illness, but now he could face suspension from the US circuit if his LIV switch is confirmed.
As of now, Meronk is still a member of the DP World Tour on which he has won four times and many would count him unlucky not to be chosen for Europe’s most recent Ryder Cup team.
LIV Golf has declined to comment, but fans can expect additions to the Saudi-funded roster to be announced in the coming days. The season will start in Mexico on February 2.
NCG reported last week that Kaymer was looking for a European name to fill his fourth and final spot after securing the signing of DP World Tour winner Kalle Samooja.

Tyrrell Hatton: LIV Golf rumours refuse to go away
While Meronk’s move to Greg Norman’s breakaway league appears imminent, the speculation surrounding another European refuses to die as well.
The Times also reported that Tyrrell Hatton is still being pursued by LIV Golf. Hatton confirmed at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic that talks had been held but maintained he was content with where he currently plays his golf.
“I’d say there’s several people who have had conversations,” he said. “I think that’s part and parcel of golf at the moment, but I’m quite happy playing the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.”
His Ryder Cup partner Jon Rahm completed his groundbreaking transfer to LIV in December, but the league are yet to announce his teammates, or what the new team is called.

If Hatton was to join LIV, he’d likely join Rahm’s team which has been rumoured to be called Legion XIII GC.
However, the Englishman, who is still a DP World Tour member, is entered in next week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the WM Phoenix Open and the Genesis Invitational, two of which are Signature Events.
According to the LIV Golf website, Cleeks GC, Iron Heads GC and Ripper GC are the only teams without four confirmed players, with Rahm’s new team not being added to the official roster yet.
