Make no mistake, Jon Rahm is the absolute man right now. The Spaniard is currently in the form of his life and picking up silverware to prove it, landing five wins in nine starts during one of the most impressive runs we’ve ever seen.
But not only is Rahm playing the best golf of his career, but according to the numbers, he’s playing some of the best golf the PGA Tour has ever seen.
Fresh off overcoming Max Homa at the Genesis Invitational – his third win already in 2023 – Rahm has now made an insane mark on the circuit to emphasise just how fantastic his form has been.
The Spaniard is playing at the Arnold Palmer Invitational for just the second time in his career, but his first-round score of 7-under-par showed inexperience was no issue.
According to stats guru Justin Ray, after Rahm eagled the par-5 16th hole at Bay Hill, this took his par-5 scoring to a staggering 100-under-par in his last 11 tournaments worldwide.
Ray also noted this score amounted to a par-5 average score of 4.36. It is no wonder he’s returned to the top of the Official World Golf Rankings, something he said he didn’t need to know after winning at Riviera.

This par-5 record comes after Rahm wrote his name in the PGA Tour history books at the American Express when he went 62-under-par through a 10-round stretch.
According to ESPN, this was the lowest-ever score across a string of 10 rounds on the circuit, beating the previous best of 61-under-par set by Davis Love III in 2001.
In his last nine starts, he has also won the acciona Open de Espana, the DP World Tour Championship, the Sentry Tournament of Champions, and of course, the American Express at La Quinta.

In other words, Jon Rahm is currently very good at golf, and now has the silverware, and records, to prove it. The Masters surely can’t come quick enough for the one-time major winner as he continues his pursuit to the top.
