It took longer than some, but Wyndham Clark finally realised his potential to be one of the world’s top players in 2023.
He broke through to win on the PGA Tour for the first time at the Wells Fargo Championship and he became a major championship shortly after at the US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
The golf world was imploring Rory McIlroy to win his first major since 2014, but Clark spoiled the party by producing stunning golf in California to win the famous trophy.
His victory evoked memories of his mother Lise who died of breast cancer while he was at Oklahoma State University. Clark went on to make his debut for the US Ryder Cup team in 2023 as well.
Before winning the US Open, he had only played in one previous US Open and Open Championship and had only played in five major championships in general, finishing no better than 75th and missing the cut in three of them.
By his side in recent years has been Alicia Bogdanski who has appeared on Clark’s Instagram page and also in images with him at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in 2024 which he won.

Wyndham Clark wife-to-be? Meet his girlfriend Alicia Bogdanski
Clark had reportedly been dating Julia Kemmling who is a former student at Quinnipiac University. But in recent times, Clark has been pictured with Bogdanski who has supported him at many a tournament.
Golf Digest reported in September 2023 that the pair met through mutual friends in 2021. Bogdanski has a degree in psychology from Arizona State University and she has endeavoured to help Clark with the mental side of his game.
In ‘Full Swing’, the golf docu-series on Netflix, cameras follow Clark through his life on the PGA Tour and a key aspect of winning the US Open was his work with a therapist and the focus on his mental well-being.

“If I see him overthinking something, I try to pull him back down, get him grounded and make him see things in perspective,” Bogdanski said, as per Golf Digest.
It isn’t that often that Clark and Bogdanski appear in photos on social media. At the end of the 2024 season. Bogdanski travelled over to Canada to support Clark on his debut at the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club.
In March 2024, the pair were pictured together with what looked like a group of friends at a Colorado Avalanche vs Denver Nuggets ice hockey fixture.
Clark has established himself as one of the world’s best players, so we can definitely expect him and Alicia to appear at plenty more trophy ceremonies in the coming years.
