Who is Tommy Fleetwood’s wife?

Tommy Fleetwood’s wife Clare has been a constant for the popular English star in both his life and career since 2017

Since winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in 2017, Tommy Fleetwood has become one of the best and most consistent European players.

He has yet to break through in America and the PGA Tour, but this isn’t to say he hasn’t been close. Fleetwood was one shot behind Brooks Koepka at the 2018 US Open, and he lost in a playoff to Nick Taylor at the Canadian Open in 2023.

But with his consistency, he has won seven times on the DP World Tour and played in the Ryder Cup for Europe three times. In 2023, he secured the winning point for the blue and gold team at Marco Simone Country Club in Rome.

For a while now, Fleetwood has had the constant of his wife Clare both in his life and career. Clare Craig grew up in Manchester and worked for Hambric Sports Management where she would become Fleetwood’s agent.

“We planned to keep our life and our work separate, for me to find another agent,” he said to the Times in 2023.

“But it became more apparent I wasn’t going to find anybody I’d trust as much because, after all, Clare is a very, very, very good agent by trade; it wasn’t like she was my wife just helping the family out.

“So in the end we thought, ‘We’ll just give it a go, but we will never let anything get in the way of our relationship,’ and it’s just always worked perfectly.”

The pair got married in 2017 in the Bahamas. Clare had two sons from a previous relationship, and she and Fleetwood also have a child together named Frankie who was born in September 2017. It is fair to say that he is a family man and we have often seen his wife and children with him when he’s circulated the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.

Although Fleetwood and his wife Clare are both from the northwest of England, with Fleetwood being born in Southport, they now live in the UAE. At the start of 2024, the 33-year-old caddied for his son-in-law Oscar Craig on the Challenge Tour at the UAE Challenge.

One element of Fleetwood’s relationship with Clare he has addressed before is the age gap. There are 22 years between them and unfortunately, Fleetwood said in the same interview as mentioned above that he has received comments about this before.

“Oh, we definitely get comments. But it’s never been a thing to us,” he said. “Clare actually looks very young for her age and I look old – it’s probably all that sun. She’s incredibly cool and I’m not cool at all, though I am quite mature for my age.”
