Grace Charis is one of the most popular golfers on the planet.
She’s not an LPGA Tour or a Ladies European Tour professional. She’s not even a professional golfer, but this hasn’t stopped the social media sensation from building an army of followers on virtually every named social media platform.
Born in California, Charis has developed a following that any professional athlete or influencer would long for. She has three million watching her on TikTok, 3.7 million people scrolling down her Instagram page and over 1.5 million subscribers to her YouTube channel.
Charis has more followers on Instagram than Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, a huge sign of her popularity in the golf sphere.
She admits influencing down the golf path wasn’t her aim to begin with, having studied to become a news broadcaster. A clip of her in a revealing jumpsuit kicked off an oncoming stream of views and clicks on the follow button that sent her viral.

Who is Grace Charis: Golf sensation and social media star?
Charis’s platform can be compared to that of fellow golf influencer Paige Spiranac, who has used similar content in her rise to the top of the social media empire.
“People have certain values towards that. It’s a free world, you know. Like in Europe, people go naked to the beaches all the time, so I don’t really see the difference,” she said as per Golf Monthly.
“I like the edginess of having your booty and body shape showing in the golf swing, but when I first got into it, I wasn’t trying to be a golfer. It was more about trying to get views and be in the creator’s space. I let social media dictate what I’m wearing – this outfit does well, or this outfit is not doing as well.”

But it is clear golf is at the forefront of Charis’ mind and her passion comes through on each of her social media channels, shown through her content and visits to the 2024 Zozo Championship on the PGA Tour, The Open Championship at Royal Troon and the Ryder Cup in Rome in 2023. Now a single-figure handicapper, her content has fully evolved into the crowded golf influencer space in which she is now a dominant figure.
Recent posts on her YouTube channel contain attempts to break 80, a common theme seen in the golf YouTube space, plus a video in October 2024 with PGA Championship hole-in-one hero Michael Block and his sons.
Charis also shares her content on X, what used to be called Twitter. She follows no one, not one person, but is approaching the 1 million followers mark having only joined the platform in 2020.
Earlier in 2024, she was the envy of every golf fan when she filmed a clip of herself hitting a tee shot at a par 3 on the Dogwood Course at the Country Club of North Carolina at Pinehurst which went in the hole.
