The Srixon 2017 Z-Star and Z-Star XV golf balls promise more distance, spin and better control in the wind.
The brand have also announced a partnership with Prostate Cancer UK which will see £1.50 donated to the charity for every dozen balls sold at trade.
The 2017 Srixon Z-Star balls are the fifth generation of one of the top performing golf balls for both tour and amateur players.
Hideki Matsuyama put the Srixon 2017 Z-Star into play towards the end of last year and went on to notch four wins and a second place in five events.
The Srixon 2017 Z-Star is a three-piece construction with a high durability, soft, thin urethane cover.
It has a reduced compression to the previous iteration and will have a softer feel on full shots.
The Srixon 2017 Z-Star XV has a four-piece construction with the same cover but will feel firmer with a higher compression – it should offer lower spin with the driver compared to the Z-Star.
Both feature new Spin Skin coating which is 13% softer than the previous model and increases friction for even more spin.
They also have a new dimple pattern which will help the ball stay in the air longer and less resistance.
It’s safe to say Matsuyama is a big fan.
“This is a truly reliable ball that delivers more distance than anything I have ever used before, and it has more responsive feel at impact,” the Japanese star said.
“Playing on the USPGA Tour, I need a ball, which stops on the green with irons, so I’m very satisfied with the new Z-Star creating the optimal spin.
“It also has more spin and better feel around the green, and has more consistent spin especially from the rough, so I’m amazed with these significant improvements.”
Both balls are available in either white or yellow.
