Sergio Garcia WITB 2018

Special Ryder Cup putters made for Garcia and Reed

You'll never guess what Patrick Reed has got stamped on the putter he is testing ahead of the Ryder Cup... Equipment editor James Savage rounds up this week's gear stories and new releases.

We’re all enjoying the Tour Championship and Portugal Masters but everyone’s minds are on the Ryder Cup at Le Golf National next week.

Especially Sergio Garcia and Partick Reed who have been using special Ryder Cup putters this week.

Garcia’s Toulon Design Rose Gold Atlanta model has yellow and gold stars to mark each year he has been a player or vice-captain at the event.

Patrick Reed, who is a free agent when it comes to his clubs, has been testing out a custom model from Scotty Cameron.

This ‘Tour Only’ Tour Rat model has Captain America stamped on the heel and toe pads – obviously.

Cobra FMax superlite

Cobra say their new F-Max Superlite woods are their easiest to hit – ever.

Building on the success of the original F-MAX family, first introduced in 2017, the new drivers and fairway are significantly lighter offering more club speed, distance and easier launch.

They’ve also added some new irons and hybrids to the range which are also incredibly light and easy to hit.
