NCG SUMMARY

The ZG23 shoes are one of the latest pairs of women’s golf shoes from Adidas. Comprised from a 50% recycled content upper, this product is not only environmentally friendly but comfort friendly too.

The soles of these shoes contain six cleats that create a very sturdy base. Don’t let the chunky sole fool you as these shoes are very lightweight and contain cushioned padded insoles.

First Impressions

It’s safe to say that the Adidas ZG23 golf shoe is a great-looking pair of golf shoes that follow a very traditional Adidas design scheme. The pure white look with a hint of bright, vibrant colour gives a sporty look and an excellent style to have coming into the golf season.

These are spiked pair of golf shoes that are built on a six-cleat Thintech TPU D-Traxion outsole. Like traditional golf shoes, these fasten with laces however Adidas does offer this pair with a BOA system on for ten pound extra.

The upper of this shoe is made up of at least fifty percent recycled materials. This is part of the ending plastic waste pledge that Adidas is so passionate about.

On Course Testing

As a huge Adidas fan, I was always going to love the style of the shoe and playing in them was just as enjoyable. This shoe offers great comfort with its soft interior that is constructed from Hybrid Lightstrike Pro and Lightstrike cushioning. This is all very lightweight, meaning you don’t even recognise that they have been on your feet for the whole duration of the round.

I usually wear a UK size 5 in shoes, which was the size that I got these in, and the fit was perfect. Having said that, the fit is a little on the tighter side and doesn’t offer much wiggle room so if you are between sizes I would suggest favouring something slightly bigger.

I love the feeling underfoot; you feel like you have a strong and stable base to swing from with the grip that these shoes give you. This is thanks to the six-cleat base. Walking up and down hills there was plenty of traction and this was continued into my shots too.

Overall, these are a great pair of golf shoes. I really enjoyed wearing them and the leather upper meant that they were really easy to keep clean between rounds. Whilst I didn’t get the chance to test them in heavy rain, they survived the morning dew and light mist well. There is also a one-year waterproof guarantee to put your mind at ease.

The 19th hole

Although these are sporty and can be mistaken for trainers at first glance, underfoot, they are a spiked golf shoe and, therefore would not be ideal for wearing off the course. However, as a purpose-built pair of golf shoes, they are great and will continue to get plenty of wear on the fairways.
