Our FootJoy Fury review has taken place during rounds at Dom Pedro in Portugal, Woburn and Moor Allerton.
We first saw FootJoy’s latest golf shoes at the brand’s launch event in Portugal and have been wearing them non-stop over the past couple of months.
Fun round on the Victoria course @Dompedrogolf testing some new @FootJoyEurope gear. The company and the products were much better than the standard of golf #PlayedbyNCG pic.twitter.com/F2qGAEo1Q5

FootJoy Fury review: First impressions
This is very much a trainer style which will appeal to those who want a comfortable, top-performing shoe rather than a classic look.
To me, it follows on more from the HyperFlex rather than the Tour-S which were launched last year.
It shares more similarities with the look of HyperFlex with the ‘flex-grid’ design of the upper.
This is the shoe we’ve seen Rafa Cabrera Bello, among others, wearing on tour and the Spaniard was heavily involved in the thought process behind the shoe.

The looks are striking without being over bearing so should appeal to a wide range of golfers.
FootJoy Fury review: The technology
Whereas the Tour-S focused on stability, Fury are really tackling comfort – a ‘surround sound’ of comfort is what they are promising.
However, the brand say there has been no compromise on traction and all-round performance.
FootJoy say the Fury was designed from the ‘inside out’ to offer stability where you need it and comfort where you want it.
There’s a new inner fit sleeve which keeps your foot snug while preventing tongue movement.
A three-layer fit bed with memory foam will mould to the shape of your foot over time.
The fine-tuned-foam midsole (a variant to Pro SL) and a TPU cleated outsole with dozens of traction points increase the stability and grip.
That’s enough about what goes into making the Fury shoes, do they do the business on the golf course? Find out on the next page…
