When it comes to picking a new driver we generally put a huge amount of time and effort into researching the new models and picking the right one for our game. But rarely do we give the shaft the same attention.
It got me thinking, just how much distance and accuracy are club golfers leaving on the table by not being properly fit for our driver shafts?
I wanted to test this out, so I took NCG reader, and 8 handicapper, Sean McCloy to Tour X in Wigan for a KBS driver shaft fitting.
Sean tested his gamer shafts against the latest KBS driver shaft options to see if gains could be made from switching models. He also tried out different weights and flexes to see just how much small set-up changes can affect overall driver performance.
