FootJoy add sporty edition to golf’s most popular shoe range
The FootJoy Pro SL is a tour favourite, so how have they improved it for 2022?
FootJoy Pro SL 2022: First impressions
Don’t worry Pro SL lovers, we are talking more about small refinements that a brand new look here. We see some small shape refinements but really these provide a really modern clean look out on the course. I love the BOA options here too especially with the dial hidden on the heel.
FootJoy Pro SL 2022: The technology
The Pro SL is a spikeless golf shoe, the Infinity Outsole provides tour proven traction in all weather conditions. Stratofoam has also been added into the midsole to improve comfort from heel-toe.
These will also be available fro customisation via the MyJoys portal from March.
The Pro SL Carbon shares many technologies but adds more stability in the heel to reinforce lateral stability. The proprietary FTF outsole features a lightweight carbon insert which increases stability.
We also see a 3D foamcollar on the heel for extra stability and comfort.
FootJoy have also introduced an all-new athletic upper to the iconic range with the Pro SL Sport, which is available in men’s and women’s.
Inspired by streetwear trends, the Sport model offers a combination of mesh and textiles to ensure breathability and waterproof protection in an athletic-looking shoe.
The new line also features an all new SuperLite XP. This has an updated more modern clean look. Importantly the uppers are waterproof making them playable in all conditions.
Underfoot we see a combination of the EVA midsole and infinity outsole to give you comfort and traction. The SuperLite XP will also be available in BOA for the first time in 2022.
